Thailand May Legalize E-Cigarettes after May

According to ENDS Cigarette Smoke Thailand (ECST), Thailand currently prohibits the use of e-cigarettes, but is discussing the end of the ban.

Thailand is reportedly set to legalize e-cigarettes by 2023 after a ban has been in place for years. According to ECST, smoking causes about 50,000 deaths in Thailand each year. Saligupta believes that lifting the ban on e-cigarettes could significantly reduce smoking-related diseases and premature deaths in the country.

Nearly 70 countries/regions around the world have adopted regulatory frameworks for safer nicotine products.
