German Customs Raids Vape Booths at InterTabac 2025
German customs authorities have dispatched plainclothes officers to conduct spot checks on e-cigarette booths at the InterTabac 2025 trade fair in Dortmund. The enforcement action specifically targets vape products that are missing the required tax stamps.
According to reports from the event, any booth found with e-cigarette products lacking the mandatory tax labels faces immediate and severe penalties. All non-compliant products on display at the booth are subject to confiscation on the spot, and the exhibiting company will be issued a strict fine. Industry insiders have noted that such enforcement actions by German customs have become a routine part of the trade show in recent years, with similar raids occurring at last year’s event. Several exhibitor booths have already been inspected during this year’s fair.
