Russian State Duma to Consider Bill Banning Vape Sales
The Russian State Duma plans to consider an inter-faction bill during the autumn session that would completely ban the sale of vapes in Russia, according to Yaroslav Nilov, head of the Duma Committee on Social Policy and one of the bill’s authors.
The Ministry of Health recently warned about a new disease called EVALI, which is caused by vapes and electronic cigarettes. The symptoms of EVALI are similar to those of coronavirus and include acute lung injury.
Nilov emphasized the urgent need to ban vapes before they become too deeply embedded in everyday life, pushing for the bill’s consideration in the fall.
