The government highlighted that millions of disposable vapes are carelessly discarded or disposed of in general waste every week, contributing to plastic pollution and electronic waste. The ban seeks to mitigate this growing environmental burden.

While the ban targets disposables specifically, questions about the overall health implications of vaping persist.
