Tourists planning a holiday to the Canary Islands are being advised to check local regulations carefully, as smoking and vaping restrictions are tightening across the archipelago. While a comprehensive Spanish draft law is set to come into full force by 2026, many municipalities have already established “smoke-free” zones, particularly on beaches, which apply to traditional cigarettes as well as smokeless alternatives like vapes and heated tobacco products.
