The Iloilo City Anti-Smoking Task Force (ICAST) is intensifying its efforts to enforce the city’s Comprehensive Anti-Smoking Ordinance, ensuring stricter compliance in public areas, streets, and schools. The ordinance also bans tobacco advertising, promotions, and sponsorships within the city.
As schools reopen, ICAST has been visiting educational institutions to remind students of the ordinance and its increased penalties.

- First offense: P1,500 fine and/or three days imprisonment
- Second offense: P2,000 fine and/or five days imprisonment
- Third offense: P5,000 fine and/or 10 days imprisonment
Penalties for business establishments violating the ordinance:
- First offense: P5,000 fine
- Second offense: One-month suspension of business permit
- Third offense: Revocation of business permit
For businesses with a capital of less than P5,000:
- First offense: P1,000 fine
- Second offense: P2,000 fine
