Italy Extends Inhalation Liquid Sales Authorization to 4 Years
The Italian Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti, has approved the draft law containing the state budget for the financial year 2025 and the multi-year budget for the 2025-2027 period. The provision includes a norm that extends the duration of authorizations for the sale of vape and eliquid products and processed tobaccos from 2 to 4 years.
The new regulation will come into force in 2025 and will apply to requests submitted after January. Authorizations expiring up to December will be renewed for a two-year period. This decision appears reasonable and aims to halve the formal and bureaucratic obligations for both merchants and the territorial offices of the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
