The Czech Ministry of Health has drafted a decree aimed at banning flavored e-cigarettes, also known as vaporizers, in an effort to reduce their appeal to non-smokers, especially children. New York, NY – In a major crackdown on the illegal sale of flavored disposable vapes, New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Corporation Counsel Sylvia O. Hinds-Radix announced today that the city has filed a lawsuit against 11 wholesalers. The defendants, located in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and upstate New York, are accused of distributing youth-friendly flavored disposable vapes to retail vape and smoke shops, convenience stores, and directly to consumers over the internet, in violation of federal, state, and city laws. The Bulgarian government has proposed a ban on the sale of e-cigarettes with characteristic taste-aromatic qualities and flavorings in any of their constituent parts, such as filters, paper, packaging, capsules, or other technical elements. The Council of Ministers submitted the bill for amendments to the Law on Tobacco and Tobacco-Related Products to the Parliament’s Registry on October 2nd.
