Uwell Caliburn G3 Pod Kit Review
Vape brand Uwell continues its hot streak of impressive devices with the Caliburn G3 Pod Kit, a stellar upgrade on the popular Caliburn series. As a long-time Uwell fan who has used the Caliburn A2, Caliburn X and others, I had high hopes for the G3. And it delivers – addressing previous gripes while retaining the core performance and reliability Uwell is known for.
The Caliburn G3 takes an already solid pod system in the G2 and enhances it across the board: bigger battery, bigger pods, new firing options and crucially, variable wattage up to 25W. It strikes an ideal balance between beginner-friendly simplicity and versatility for experienced vapers. Read on for the full review.

Design and Build Quality
Fans of the Caliburn series will feel instantly at home with the G3. Uwell has largely preserved the previous tall, slim silhouette which fits comfortably in hands and pockets. It looks like an iterative update rather than wholesale redesign – but that’s no bad thing.
The solid aluminum alloy chassis, anodized finish and precisely milled pod socket exude quality craftsmanship. New additions like the textured firing button, 0.96-inch OLED screen and engraved branding blend seamlessly into the pared-back aesthetic.
Despite the modest size, features never feel crammed together, with intuitive controls and ample surface area for error-free operation. Uwell nailed the formula long ago, and the G3 simply refines it further.
The G3 advances the pod system too, increasing capacity by 25% to 2.5ml to require less frequent refilling. Side or top-fill options suit different preferences, with large silicone stoppers for easy access.
But the big change is ultrasonically welded construction and fixed coils rather than replaceable ones. This enhances leak protection enormously in my experience, reinforced by sturdy magnetic mounting. After heavy pocket and backpack use, I’ve yet to see a single drop escape.
Two pod resistances ship in the kit – 0.6ohms and 0.9ohms – promising even lower resistance and higher 1.2ohm variants to come. It’s a shame new pods aren’t cross-compatible, but performance gains should outweigh any inconvenience.
Features: Adjustability and Versatility Combined
Despite its pocketable size, the feature set is remarkable. The bright OLED displays vital stats like power settings, puff timer, battery level, resistance and more at a glance.
Variable wattage from 5-25W makes dialing in your preferred vape easy through on-board controls or the (now standard) Uwell PC app. Those same controls allow switching between auto-draw, manual button fire or both for maximum flexibility.
Rotating the pod 180 degrees lets you alternate between tighter MTL and airier RDL draws to match juices and preferences. It’s slightly less adjustable than the previous generation but retains the same core capabilities in a simpler system.
With tactile buttons, smart menu navigation and considered touches like mechanical vibration alerts, the G3 feels purpose-built for actual vaping rather than box-ticking.
Battery Life And Charging
The new 900mAh battery bests the G2’s 750mAh cell for notably improved runtime. I regularly got a full day of use around 18W with the 0.6ohm pod before needing a recharge. Naturally, your mileage will vary based on settings and vaping habits.
Luckily, swift USB-C charging makes topping up easy. Thanks to 2A fast charging, I could go from flat to full battery in as little as 30 minutes. The charging status icon gives at-a-glance feedback, while cutoff circuits prevent issues from overcharging if you leave it plugged in.
Performance And Real-World Usage
In daily use, the Caliburn G3 delivers exactly as intended: a compact yet powerful and pocketable pod vape perfect for mouth to lung or restricted lung hits.
Both included pods offer outstanding, consistent flavor from the very first draw. After two weeks of testing, they show minimal signs of wear – easily stretching towards Uwell’s suggested two week pod lifespan. Even heavily sweetened juices barely gunked up the coils.
Airflow clicks between a tighter MTL and looser RDL smoothly. Vapor pours forth vigorously across the 5-25W range with no delay or spitting. It nails the basics flawlessly while letting you tweak preferences through variable settings.
Everything from the intuitive firing modes to handy liquid level windows reveals Uwell’s grasp of what vapers want. No unnecessary gimmicks or glaring flaws – just carefully considered features which enhance real-world use. And it comes at a fair midrange price that makes the performance extremely appealing.

Conclusion and Recommendation
The Caliburn G3 takes an already well-balanced pod system in the G2 and makes it unambiguously better. Key upgrades like adjustable wattage and increased battery capacity make an already versatile device even more so. Meanwhile, design tweaks to the chassis and pods iron out most everyday usage gripes.
For vapers seeking outsized performance from a stealthy yet feature-packed pod kit, the G3 warrants serious consideration. Its smart improvements epitomize Uwell’s maturation into one of vaping’s most user-focused brands. For an all-around daily driver that can adapt to changing vape needs, the Caliburn G3 stands out as a new gold standard.
