Russian Lawmaker Seeks to Restrict Online Information on DIY Vape Making

Russia vape DIY restriction

State Duma Deputy Igor Antropenko from the United Russia party has proposed amendments to a draft law aimed at blocking websites that sell tobacco products without court orders. The amendments would expand the law’s scope to include restrictions on information about the self-manufacturing of vaping devices and other tobacco consumption products.

Antropenko highlighted the prevalence of online content providing instructions on how to make vapes at home, often with titles such as “The Simplest Way to Make a Vape” or “Homemade Vape for 25 Rubles.” He believes that the proposed regulation should encompass this type of information, even if it is not directly related to the sale of these products.
