Nebraska Vape Registry Law Bans Most Popular Vape Brands
As of January 1, 2026, a new vape registry law has significantly altered the vaping landscape in Nebraska. Legislative Bill 1204 (LB 1204), originally passed in April 2024, has officially taken effect, implementing strict regulations on electronic nicotine retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.
The core of the legislation targets the sale of vape products not listed on the newly established Nebraska Vape Registry. Consequently, several popular brands, including Geek Bar, Lost Mary, and Frogers, are now banned from sale within the state. While the bill included other provisions regarding lottery anonymity and distillery licensing, its impact on the vape market is profound.
Businesses caught selling these unauthorized products face severe penalties, including misdemeanor charges, potential license suspension or revocation, and fines up to $5,000. However, manufacturers can still apply to have their products registered and approved. Importantly, the law does not criminalize consumers who already possess these banned items for personal use.
