Ukraine Bans Possession of Tobacco and Vapes in Schools
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new list of dangerous items prohibited on school premises, significantly tightening regulations on tobacco and nicotine products. Previously, bans focused on use; now, the mere possession of these items is forbidden for students, teachers, and visitors alike.
Individuals possessing any tobacco products, heated tobacco devices (like IQOS, glo), e-cigarettes (vapes, disposables), or their liquids and cartridges will be denied entry to the educational process. This measure aims to combat the normalization of nicotine use, particularly among teenagers, where research indicates one in five uses e-cigarettes.
