The study found that although both e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes are harmful to the respiratory system, the harm of e-cigarette aerosol is smaller. The study contributes to the ongoing debate about the potential impact of e-cigarettes, which the medical community generally regards as a reduced-harm substitute for traditional cigarettes.
